“I remember the kitchen curtain in the summer house fwhen I was a child. The curtain had Ball Fringe
and all the balls along the edge of the shawl remind me of it,” says Maria when she describes the Ball Fringe shawl.

Sizes
One size, but will vary depending on the yarn you use, and the size of needles. The size on Maria’s blocked shawl is 2 x 95 cm. It might be difficult to measure across it since it is blocked in a V-shape.
Gauge
Gauge is not so important for a shawl, but this has 22 stitches per 10 cm in garter stich before blocking.
