– I have always been fond of textures and as a pattern designer that is what I always work with “textured” and narrative surfaces. It’s also the case that I’m a bit lazy and love when things feel efficient, knitting texture patterns rather than multi-color knitting is something I do out of sheer convenience,” Essy laughs when describing her Fleurir cardigan pattern.

Fleurir was born from a pattern Essy drew for notebooks when she worked as a designer at Sostrene Grene in Aarhus.
– It was a neat, elegant and yet crazy floral pattern that I’m still really fond of,” says Essy.

Recommended yarn:
Essy’s version of the Fleurir cardigan is knitted in Kos yarn in a lovely yellow tone.

The Fleurir cardigan is available in 5 sizes, 1-5 with the following bust measurements 100 (112) 125 (138) 150 cm. The cardigan is worked from the bottom up.

Kos (Sandnes), Brushed alpaca (Sandnes) or Puno (Rauma).
KOS – 62 % alpaca, 29 % nylon and 9 % wool, the yarn is a so-called blow yarn (alpaca fiber which together with wool is blown into a nylon sock, resulting in a soft, light and airy yarn).
You can of course work the cardigan in another yarn with the same stretch/100 sts.
