Pedilia Callunae socks

$6.99

This poem by Emma Friberg has set the tone for Anna’s Pedilia Callunae socks pattern:

Deep in the heart of the Swedish forests, she has found her home.
There she stands in all her glory
as obvious as the stone foundation itself
Like a splash of bright red-violet color,
against the emerald green moss.
She lights up the darkest corners of the forest.
enchanting in its anonymous beauty
When her peers wither
she stubbornly remains
The very last
sheltering from the cold of winter

Bottom color, Green II 140 (160, 180, 200) meters
Pattern colour, Sugar Frog 140 (160, 180, 200) meters
Keep in mind that the amount of yarn used may change depending on the length of the sock.

Sizes
X-Small (Small, Medium, Large)
The socks are designed to be close-fitting, about 0.5-4 cm smaller in circumference than the foot it is supposed to fit on and to fit foot circumference of about 15.5-19 (17-20.5, 19-22.5, 20.5-24) cm.
When choosing a size, it’s good to keep in mind that multicolor knitting is not as stretchy as regular stockinette stitch. Therefore, larger needles are used for multicolor knitting. The length of the sock is adjustable. To make the socks fit well on the foot, knit them about 1.5 cm shorter than the length of the foot.

Gauge
The socks are knitted with a fixed knitting tension to make the socks as durable as possible.
36 sts and 45 rows = 10×10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
Knitting strength was achieved with 2.25 mm knitting needles. Anna knits hard, so you may need to go down a size to achieve knitting stability.
